		<description>Yes....rocks close to a sandy bottom was a key.
I remember looking for the big isloated rocks on the shore line....that was the key. 
I was amazed how far the smallies traveled to hit the slamming shad.</description>

		<description>Dad you forgot to mention how peculiar the fishing was when the bite seemed to pick up, not only in the mornings sometimes, but at high noon.  Also didn&#039;t we discover that the wind on the lake played a role in the topwater action, especially near the rocky shoals.  Greg and I found that having a little wind to produce drift in the boat over a shallow sandy bar with sporadic clusters of rocks and weeds was the best &quot;action&quot; spots, but the best sized fish were a little deeper off of those long reef sections in about 6 foot of water.  I totally agree that the top-water bite with those slammin shads was par none, my back still hurts Haha!!!</description>
